Years ago I had a wonderful dinner at a steakhouse in Casper Wyoming. The soup was French Onion and the bowl had a small "loaf" or bread roll that was baked right on top! It was though they ladled the soup into the bowl, topped it with cheese, and then put raw bread dough over the top of the bowl and baked it. It was yummy and good - crusty and warm fresh bread right there on top of the serving bowl.
