Resolved Question: How can I go and do hands-on volunteer work in the gulf, if I live out of state?

With the oil spill being named the worst environmental disaster of our time, how can I help? My name is Joe and I live in Casper, Wyoming. I have an avid interest in writing and biology. I want to help the best I can, and I think this summer would be a perfect time to go down to the gulf and help with cleaning efforts. I've looked everywhere and volunteer efforts are only resigned for 'skilled and trained' volunteers. I'm not either. I just turned 18. But if I could go down and help, it would not only be a great journey for myself, but a great learning experience as well. I want to become more worldly, and doing a trip like this would only help me get there. How would I go about doing this? If anyone has any ideas, thanks.
